Your Health and Safety
The safety and well-being of our clients and staff members are our primary concern. Our staff has been highly trained regarding the most advanced medical-grade infection control practices recommended by the Centers for Disease Control for hospitals. It is our aim to raise the standard of safety in the industry and we hope we can communicate our concept to the public. The following devices and standards of sterilization, disinfection and sanitation are in place to provide you with state-of-the-art protection.
In Broadway Nail Spa, all metal implements used during treatments, including nippers, clippers, metal pushers, drill bits and tweezers, undergo a debris-removal process and are then sterilized in our state-of-the-art autoclave. This system for decontamination represents the ultimate in modern medical practices regarding client protection.
The implements in our spa that have the potential to become contaminated that are not easily capable of being sterilized, such as buffers, nail files, foot files and wax applicators, are designated for one-time use.
Our spa pedicure thrones are cleaned thoroughly after each guest. We circulate an EPA-registered, hospital-grade disinfection solution and deep cleansing detergent throughout the water lines of our spa chairs in between guests in order to clean the internal components of the pedicure station and the piping system of the spa. We also clean the filters daily and soak the stations overnight once a week with bleach and once a week with a deep cleaning detergent.
External surfaces in the spa are cleaned on a regular basis with an EPA-registered, hospital-grade disinfection solution. Designed exclusively for our spa, our manicure tables, which are constructed from a non-porous material, are disinfected after each client.
We disinfect our manicure bowls and the rocks we place in them with an EPA-registered, hospital-grade disinfection solution in between guests.
In order to avoid cross-contamination of wax, we do not double dip into our paraffin baths. Rather, we place paraffin in single-use bags and wrap them around our clients’ hands or feet. This method is equally effective, while providing for a safer paraffin treatment.
In order to avoid cross-contamination of strip wax, Broadway Nail Spa skincare therapists use a new wooden applicator with each application of wax onto the face or body. Roll-on applicators are disposed of after each guest.
We have a sophisticated ventilation system that reduces chemical vapors for your protection.
At Broadway Nail Spa, we use only the highest quality products to ensure your safety.
